Iconic<Sun>Protest
temporary exhibition / fictional
The initial source for the scenography contest «EMEE» was one singular object. Around the «Nuclear Power? No Thanks»-logo a concept for a temporary museum was curated. The spatial narrative confronts two different aspects of the sun:
The universal symbol of a long-standing protest movement blends in with the multitude of other historical SUN symbols, such as «Louis XIV the sun king», and is thus bathed in a new light. The spatialisation of the two-dimensional icons increases their number and therefore the significance of its statement.
So the images where shown on a number of cubic shapes, which represent the crowd/the great number of persons behind the icons.
